Hello! I am the Speech and Language Teacher (aka speech-language pathologist, speech therapist) at Lee Elementary for students in grades preK-4. I work with students who have difficulty in one or more of the following areas: producing speech sounds clearly, speech rhythm and fluency such as stuttering, understanding and producing language, cognitive communication impairments, such as attention, memory, and problem-solving disorders, and pragmatic language (understanding and using social language skills).
I am also one of three Assistive Technology Representatives for our school district. Assistive Technology refers to "Any item, piece of equipment, or product system, whether acquired commercially off the shelf, modified, or customized, that is used to increase, maintain, or improve functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities. AT service is directly assisting an individual with a disability in the selection, acquisition, or use of an assistive technology device."

I'd like to share a little bit about myself. I have been a Speech-Language Pathologist for 23 years. This will be my 12th year at Richmond Community Schools. I graduated from Central Michigan University with my B.S. degree in Communication Disorders and from Northern Michigan University with my M.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders. I have twin girls who are in the 8th grade at RMS and a daughter who graduated from RHS in May 2014. She is attending the College for Creative Studies.
I am very excited to begin the 2017-2018 school year. I look forward to working with the wonderful staff and parents here at Will L. Lee Elementary!
Committed to Guaranteed Learning for all students!
